Disculpame, pero con clases esta mañana no tengo tiempo para trudicir esta carta electroníca de Catherine a la Familîa. Espero que puedes ver en los fotos las celebraciones que Carolina y Zakari tuvieron ayer durante su cumpleaños.
From Catherine in an email sent to the family:
Today’s birthday was great for the kids. They got to wear a tiara (Carolina) and a “Birthday Boy” Medallion with blue ribbons all day, including to school. We opened and assembled presents this morning and took Aita to work late. Back home they had a romantic candle-lit lunch of peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, Cheetoes, and juice in their kid wine glasses. At school they got to bring the snack, homemade m&m and Reeses Pieces cookies they mixed together with their own bare hands over the weekend, and had the birthday song sung to them. They also got to make and wear their own birthday crowns at school. After school we played with their toys (A baby stroller and carrier for Keena and a deluxe train set for Zak), made birthday “pupcakes” and had their favorite sandwiches for dinner: grilled cheese. After dinner we put candles in the cupcakes, turned out the lights, and sung once again.
My babies are 4 years old now. “Mama. I do not feel any bigger than I was Lesterday,” Keena remarked this morning as she stood at the bathroom sink. I assured her that the next time she is bigger she will be bigger than 3 for the rest of her life. This excited her. He has been pretty much excited all day.
We are looking forward to being surrounded by our family this weekend.

Early First Snowfall and the Pumpkin Patch

I have placed photos online from our record early snowfall on October 12, 2006 (I believe it was the earliest snowfall in at least two decades). The snowfall disappeared within two days. I have also placed photos online from our day today. We had a nice autumn day, high 50s, and we went to the Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch with the kids. Enjoy.
He colocado las fotos de nuestra nevada de 12 de Octubre de 2006 (creo que era las nevadas más temprano de los ultimos dos décadas). La nieve desaparecío a pasar dos días. También he colocado las fotos de nuestro día hoy. Teníamos un día agradable del otoño, temperaturas moderadas, y fuimos al “Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch” (que se traduce aproximadamente como “Remiendo de la Calabaza del Río del Búfalo”) con Zakari y Carolina.
