On April 12, 2002, we recieved some news we had been hoping for for some time… we were having a child! However, the big surprise came on April 30th when I (Catherine) went to the doctor because of a sharp pain in my right side. We were concerned that there was something amiss and were relieved to learn that not only was everything great – it was double fantastic: TWINS! (The pain turned out to be something minor.)

Catherine’s comments upon receiving the news of twins: “I was praying for twins!” and “Now we’re gonna HAVE to go to Toys R Us!” Juan’s comments when he heard we were having twins: “We’ll never sleep!” and “We could LIVE in a Toys R Us!”. Our Gynecologist says our babies will most likely be born before December 24.
30 de Abril 2002 (~6 Semanas) El 12 de Abril del 2002 recibimos unas noticias que habiamos esperado … íbamos a tener un niño. La gran sorpresa llegó con el primer ultrasonido del 30 de Abril del 2002 cuando yo (Catherine) fui al doctor porque tenia un dolor en mi costado. Estuvimos preoccupado que algo estaba mal con el bebé y decubrimos que no habia nado mal con los GEMELOS! (El dolor termino siendo algo sin importancia.).

Despues de esta sopresa Catherine commento que "¡Yo estuve esperando que serían gemelos!" y "¡Ahora vamos a NECESITAR ir a «Toys R Us»!" («Toys R Us» es un supermercado grande de jugetes en los EE.UU). Despues de esta sopresa Juan commento que "¡Nunca vamos a dormir!" y "¡Ahora vamos a necesitar vivir en «Toys R Us»!" Nuestra ginecóloga dice que los bebes probablemente van a entrar el mundo antes del 24 de Diciembre.
