This is the homepage for Physics 322, a course designed to review 20th Century (and I suppose 21st Century) developments in Physics, notably the areas of Special Relativity and Quantum Mechanics (which tie into the related disciplines of Particle and Nuclear Physics).

Course Bulletin Description:

Topics: special relativity, wave-particle duality, Bohr atom, quantum mechanics, hydrogen atom, many electron atoms, nuclear properties and nuclear reactions. Prerequisite: PHYS 201

 

While Albert Einstein probably made one of the largest impacts in the field of "Modern Physics" through his development of both Special and General Relativity, there were many other players. Many of the main players came together at the 1927 Solvay Conference on Quantum Mechanics. For fun, you can see how many of the people above get mentioned during this course...
