This is the homepage for Physics 305, the first semester of experimental physics. This course is being co-taught by Profs. Lindaas and Cabanela during Fall Semester 2008.

Course Bulletin Description:

Study of laboratory techniques and measuring instruments. Prerequisite: PHYS 201

 

(Quoting from Wikipedia) Ernest Rutherford (1871 – 1937), was a nuclear physicist from New Zealand. He was known as the "father" of nuclear physics, pioneered the orbital theory of the atom, notably in his discovery of Rutherford scattering off the nucleus with the gold foil experiment.
